Summer Bishil (born June 15 in 1985) is an American actor best known for playing Margo on The Magicians, a Syfy show that ran from 2015 to present. The actress was previously recognized by playing a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun who undergoes turbulent personal struggles against set against the backdrop of the U.S. war in Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. The film was picked by Variety to be one of their 10 actors to watch. She portrayed another character of great power Taslima Jahangir in 2009's film crime drama Crossing Over for which she was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female lead category. She has also acted in movies like The Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star and Under the Silver Lake and she has appeared in a variety of guest TV roles, including being the co-lead of Lucky 7.
